Fireworks in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Here is a picture from a part of the fireworks display put on by our private community of Lake Sheila. This was my first attempt at capturing pictures of fireworks. I think some of them turned out nicely.

These pictures were taken with my basic Nikon D40 package using the lens that came with it. I still had the camera on automatic for most of the settings. However, I did turn off the auto focus and the flash.

Back on Utterz

I think my wife's cell phone is causing interference with my mac's WiFi connection. It's been giving me a headache all day. Now that I am back on I can share one of my new geek t-shirts with you. You coders and Star Wars fans will get those one.

Full Day

I feel beat down. We had a GREAT day with some friends that stayed here @ the lake with us last night. Both families hit the beach for some swimming and you know how tiring that can be when you are not used to it. Not to mention chasing after a toddler.

This should be a nice week in the mountains. I do have to work but @ least I get to do it in the mountains!
