I’m extremely disheartened by the state of our nation and what my fellow American’s find important.

I honestly feel the current state of our country’s administration is an affront to my view of this great country. Greed rules the day and empathy is eroding.

The culture of looking out for number one reminds me of a cautionary christian tale I used to listen to as a child in Antsylvania about an ant who only cared for himself.

I had such hopes when I started this blog that I would find the tenacity to do the hard work, research, and make my voice heard. I still want to do that but I think I was going about it all wrong. I was approaching my passion from an adversarial place that I can’t uphold. I’m not built that way.

I’m working to refocus my voice and I want to do it in a way that utilizes my talents and my passion to advocate for positive aspects of my community and even this country.

I felt this post was important as a new beginning. I can’t promise I’ll be more prolific. I want to be but I haven’t figured out how to work that into my day to day yet. I guess all I can say is that I will try.

My inspiration is something my wife learned at a social networking conference recently.

“Create every day!”

That’s a tall ask but I’m going to see what I can figure out to post and push out as much positive energy as I can.

Wish me luck.
